Where are we from and what do we do?
After many years spent in Switzerland and then on Réunion Island, our family returned to Laos in 2018 to reconnect with our origins and our history.
On site, it is by noting how the memory of our paternal and maternal grandparents, great-grandparents has been neglected, that we wanted to act to preserve this cultural heritage.
This momentum materialized with the creation of the association DATHARANY.org.
Aims of the association
I. Preserving memories and traditions
To create an archive on the ancestral ceremony of the Altar of the Serpent Vang Na (Ho Gou Vang Na) of Luang Prabang and to perpetuate its ancestral tradition.
II. Support inclusive and equitable education
Teach English and French with workshops and language courses for children and adults. Discover the traditional Lao language.

A family association
DATHARANY.org is a non-profit Swiss-Lao association.
The members are only family and the means come from our personal donations.
Our various cultural activities have helped several hundred people: artisans, tuk-tuk drivers, students…
